Rainbow Pre-School: Adult Child Ratio 1:9

Ages 3 - 5 years

Morning Session: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12.00 mid-day

Afternoon Session: Monday to Friday 1.00pm - 4.00pm

A formulated, continually developing, relevant, and stimulating, age-appropriate curriculum is in place, recognising the fact that all children are individual in their needs. All staff at Rainbow acknowledge the importance of having personal commitment in their role as carers and teachers, in order to provide the highest quality of care and education, equipping the children with opportunities to develop their skills.

Pre-School Structure

5 rooms in operation with trained member of staff in each:

• Play Room
• Art Room
• Montessori Room
• Music & Movement / Story & Drama Room
• Social and Cultural Room

Children are divided into 5 groups, maximum number of 9 children in each group. They rotate attending each room, completing a full and varied, stimulating curriculum.

• A mid-morning snack is provided.
• Toilets are at child level and there are also facilities to accommodate children who are not fully toilet trained.
• A large and secure all weather play area is provided, with a variety of equipment for climbing and playing.

FREE PRE-SCHOOL (E.C.C.E.)

Free Pre-School commencing 01st September 2015

Rainbow Pre-School is registered for the above scheme, which will provide a free Pre-School year for children born between 2nd February 2011 and 30th June 2012. Free childcare for parents doing a FÁS/VEC training course or community employment scheme. Children attending national school also eligible.
